about

This song was written in the fall of 2014, by Dawn Of Omega (a really short-lived band I used to sing for back then). The lyrics describe the depravity of man by using comparisons from greek mythology. Like Uranos, who got castrated by his son Cronus for raping Gaia, Humanity shall pay for his misdeeds. A Sea Of Blood shall wash away their sins and only then a new world is able to arise. Fun Fact: The Phrase "Epitome Of Humanity" was originaly coined by Rat (Statement), when holding one of his old-man hate speeches about vegan sell-outs. These people are like: "I do exactly know whats wrong in the world, but I choose to not care anymore". The sample at the beginning of the song is from Stargate SG-1, when Anubis is seen and heard for like the first time. He is a very powerful System Lord and virtually declare's the doom of the human race - i mean, seriously, how awesome is that? However, the sample at the end is from Neon Genesis Evangelion and to my understanding one of the most intense scenes ever. Just listen to it (or watch it - it's episode 24 of the regular anime series). I think it speaks for itself.

lyrics

You have spelled our doom - Humanity means death
You are the epitome of depravity - Gaia cries in anguish because of you
You bring demise for a whole generation
A world full of life that has been there before
Sorrow & grief - your constant companions
Extinction predetermined long since before
Cronus shall swing his sickle again - But this time to castrate mankind
You have spelled our doom - Humanity means death
You are the epitome of depravity - Gaia cries in anguish because of you
A sea of blood shall mark a new dawn
A sea of blood for the Giants to rise
A sea of blood…
Bring me the heads of the Gods
So nothing like them shall ever walk the earth again
