To Ashes is the voice of the oppressed, the moan of the minorities constantly threatened by a capitalistic system ruled by the rich and powerful. In a scene where the most important thing is the appearance we prefer to point our finger where there’s something wrong in the world and bring it to attention through the lyrics. If we are to help saving this planet and ensure the continuance of life upon it, we must know what we are up against. From those guys died in the streets by the hand of the infamous police to those who have tried to escape from lands involved in war. From all the animals trapped or killed for human needs to all the political prisoners imprisoned for fighting for something. We do that because we see a serious lack of messages
in the hardcore scene, the one historically known to be the music of protest and revolt. We still believe that well-informed people can do something real to change the world. We encourage to react actively against this system, bringing the anger to the streets, revolting to the masters and the oppressors to liberate Earth from fascism, speciesism, racism, homophobia and all other forms of oppression. We stand for total liberation.
